Criteria for Marriage Registration

  • Both Parties should belong to India. The age of the Girl should be 18 or above and the age of the boy should be 21 or above.
  • Both the Boy and the Girl should not be married before or the spouse should not be alive in case of an already married person.
  • The parties (boy & girl) should be physically and mentally sound.
  • The Bride and Groom should not be related under relations that is prohibited under law.

Online Application Procedure for Marriage Registration

The applicant must follow the below-given procedure to obtain the Bihar Marriage Certificate online and the applicant can also obtain marriage certificate from particular state in online (if online mode is available) or offline mode. Step 5: One needs to submit the duly filled application form to the concerned authority of the Registrar office.

Step 6: Get an acknowledgement receipt for application from the concerned office.
